Russia or Bust...

Well! We've been given the "go-ahead" to leave for Russia on Saturday, July 15th. It's not a perfect set-up, the paperwork hasn't "really" arrived in St. Petersburg, but the Russia rep. was given verbal verification that the "most important piece" - the referral letter - was mailed yesterday. Please keep praying that the letter arrives in time. We may actually leave USA before letter arrives. We will be staying at the same hotel which has some Internet access, so I'll be posting all the news and updates here. Thanks to everyone for your continued prayers and support. We definitely need it. :-)

My pastor just started us in a study of the book of James last Sunday--Specifically touching on our reaction to trials and God's purpose in trials. He shared a Greek word which is used in that passage "upomone"{hoop-om-on-ay': n, nom, f, sg}; cheerful or hopeful endurance, constancy, enduring, patience, patient continuance waiting] I am praying for this for you. Upomone. Hopeful endurance! Hang in there!

Love in Christ,

Congratulations on your news! I am sure you are very excited. Gives some of us waiters some hope that this journey will actually end with a child. It doesn't seem like that sometimes. Thanks for sharing your story!

Blessings! We pray that all the paperwork and people are placed just so by His guiding hand. We just returned from St. Petersburg with our daughter (court June 19, home July 4) and know how hard it is for you RIGHT NOW. It's only been a week for us, and all the tears and fears have faded already...to be replaced by such joy! You'll be at this place soon...and at the perfect time!
